Jason Culley - Bio
Jason Culley is
the owner, creator, editor/writer and web designer of Air Cooled Drag Racing
Monthly (www.acdrm.com). Born in West Covina, CA on March 27, 1974, he moved around
Southern California quite often during his childhood years.
At one time or another he lived in Pomona, Ontario, Rialto,
San Bernardino and Beaumont before joining the United States
Air Force in 1994. Since joining the USAF he has lived
in Las Vegas (NV), England (x2) and Albuquerque (NM).
Jason has been married since 1997 to Marsha and they have
three children, Jordan (9), Calvin (4) and Kaylee (3).
He has been into Volkswagen's since he bought his first one,
a '68 Type 1 from his grandfather at the age of 16.
Since then he has owned numerous bugs and is currently in
the market for another one. His last VW was a '62
Ragtop (pictured on the left) that he owned while stationed at Kirtland AFB in
Albuquerque, NM where he belonged to the Albuquerque Air
Alliance (AAA) Volkswagen Club. He is currently living
in Ely, England serving a four year tour overseas.
Along with
Volkswagens, one of Jason's other interests is drag racing
so it is only natural that the two would come together.
Jason started the Air Cooled Drag Racing Magazine (now Air
Cooled Drag Racing Monthly) in the spring of 2006 as a way
to keep up with the air cooled drag racing community.
After reading about a race in a well known VW magazine he
thought wouldn't it be great if we could see results and
photos from these events a few days after they occurred
rather then a few months and ACDRM.com was born.
As well as continuing the website when he retires from the
USAF his future plans involve building a drag bug and racing the
cars and drivers he features on ACDRM.com. Until then he will continue to follow the
drag racers and races from all over the world and bring you
the latest from the air cooled drag racing community here at
Air Cooled Drag Racing Monthly.
