ENGLISHTOWN,
NJ - Cory McClenathan qualified in the upper half of the Top
Fuel ladder at the ProCare RX NHRA Supernationals at Englishtown,
NJ. Cory's 4.65 ET at 326.40 MPH was good enough for the #5
position and will face Doug Foley (4.582 ET at 331.20 MPH) who
qualified #12.

Cory is currently 9th in the NHRA
POWERade Top Fuel championship point standings with 419 points, 212
points behind the leader, Rod Fuller.
Eliminations start on Sunday,
June 24th at 11:00 AM EST.
UPDATE 1 - It is tough to
beat a guy who is quicker off the line and also runs the quickest
and fastest run of the first round, I guess you could say it is
impossible. That is exactly what Doug Foley did in the first
round versus Cory Mac. Foley ran a 4.580 ET at 328.30 with a
0.051 RT (to Corey's 0.074) to beat Corey who smoked the tires at
the hit of the throttle and only managed a 10.089 ET at 78.19 MPH.
Cory remains in the 9th spot in the NHRA POWERade Top Fuel
championship point standings but now trails Rod Fuller by 235 points
with 453 points
The next stop on the NHRA
POWERade Drag Racing Series is in Norwalk, OH for the Summit Racing
Equipment NHRA Nationals (June 28 - July 1).
