(MAY 20, 2007) - On Friday, May 18th, VW racer and innovator Bud Whitfield was hospitalized with what is being described as a brain seizure. He is being moved to a convalescent hospital for extended care and closer monitoring. Currently he does not have any function in his legs and his memory loss is still extensive. Bud was a participant of the first Bug-In and the last Bug-In and is well respected among the VW community. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, including his wife Barbara.
