SACRAMENTO,
CA (MAY 7, 2007) - Greg
Schmidt was not driving his usual '67 Karmann Ghia this past weekend
but was a "hired gun" and drove the Super Comp Drag Bug sponsored by
Bugformance of Sacramento. In his first time behind the wheel Greg
Schmidt took it to the winners circle with a 6.853 ET (6.78 Dial-In)
at 96.900 MPH over John Rocha who ran a 12.407 ET (12.22 Dial-In) at
54.660 MPH. John lifted near the finish line after hearing something
break, it turned out to be his camber compensator which snapped in
two.
The Bugformance of
Sacramento Bug will be running in the PRA Super Comp category with
Greg behind the wheel for the rest of the year. Their first PRA
event will be Bugorama #59 on May 27th.
