APRIL 27, 2008 - In October 2007, I debuted the car at the NHRA Sport Compact Event. The maiden voyage was a 10:60 with a 1.51 60' time. 2nd round of qualifying had a problem with the ignition; found out that the ignition box had traction control. I could not de-activate that, due to that there are only 2 keys available, and they were on their way to Vegas for the Powerade Event. So Lummus got me another box Sunday morning to install and it worked out good until the second problem occurred during the 1st round of eliminations in which the pulley ate the crank trigger pick up.

The next event was the PSCA event at California Speedway in which I was trying to get the car to 60'. 1st pass 10:49 with a 60' time of 1.48; 2nd pass was 10:45 with a 60' time of 1.50, so I decided to get the other motor in the car for the Bug-in.

JayCee built the #2 motor for Bug-in in which we got in the car Sunday morning at 3:00 am. We left JayCee, I went home for a quick shower to wake up and then headed to California Speedway for the Bug-in. The 1st qualifying pass, the car was way too fat to run, it went 11.07 of something. 2nd pass the car ate another crank trigger pick-up. The 3rd, it ate another pick-up, the car had no tack or shift light. I was driving the car just listening to the motor. The car is at Ron's Shop to have a race-pack computer installed and the Bus Box is at Dave Folts' for the correct gear stack and numerous other changes to get ready to test at the Division 7 event May 2nd and to be ready for Sacramento.

I would like to thank my sponsors: Pave-it, Fun-runner Sand-rail ACC, Gold Coast Refractory Service, RLR, JayCee Performance and Dave Folts Transmissions. Also, my wife Christine, and daughter Maddie.
